My Experience with the Turtle

Driving

To start, I tried the Turtle on the way home from our office here in Los Angeles. In my car, the 55-minute drive home can sometimes be a little painful in the lower back area (especially when stuck in LA traffic).

But with the Turtle, I did notice good back support from the device and I would consider it good for use in the car, when my back pain is acting up.

Following Exercise

At home, I do Yoga exercises every other evening – at my doctor’s recommendations – and after my session that night I relaxed by lying on my back with the Turtle between me and the floor.  After 5 minutes I was impressed that such a simple device could be so effective.

The back pain, stiffness and muscle fatigue that normally follows the end of a hard day, seemed to vanish.

But would the Turtle help me in bed? This is often the harshest test for back pain relief methods. Why? Because in our sleep, we often place our bodies in positions we would be careful to avoid during the day. And this can often cause trouble.

I slept with the Turtle under my back and, while it took a few minutes to get used to, I found it quite comfortable in place of the plain pillow I often sleep on top of for support. The Turtle can also be used under the head and neck for support and I rated this support as excellent.
